Ayodhya city was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Ayodhya, where Lord Ram was born. It is also mentioned in Hindu mythology and the Ramayana. The ancient scripture of Atharvaveda describes Ayodhya as 'a city built by gods' and compares its prosperity with the glory and splendor of the paradise. Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire in India, constructed a mosque in Ayodhya. It became the part of the great Mughal Empire and was ruled by them for many years. After the decline of the Mughal Empire, it became a part of the regional state of Awadh, which was later annexed by the British.
Ram Janmabhoomi: This is the site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama. The Babri Masjid, which stood at this site, was demolished in 1992, leading to significant controversy. You can take a boat ride to the confluence point and witness the mesmerizing sight of the meeting of these rivers.
Allahabad Fort: Explore the historic Allahabad Fort, situated near the Triveni Sangam. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, the fort offers a glimpse into India's Mughal past. Don't miss the iconic Ashoka Pillar within the fort premises, which bears inscriptions from the time of Emperor Ashoka.

Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Banaras, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and is considered the spiritual capital of India. Situated on the banks of the sacred river Ganges in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi is a place where Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism intersect.

Ganges River Ghats: Varanasi is famous for its ghats, or stepped embankments, along the Ganges River. Dashashwamedh Ghat is one of the most prominent and is known for its evening Ganga Aarti ceremony, where priests perform rituals with fire and incense, accompanied by devotional songs. Other notable ghats include Assi Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat (the main cremation ghat), and Panchganga Ghat.

The Dhamek Stupa and the Ashoka Pillar are important landmarks in Sarnath, and the site also houses several ancient Buddhist monasteries and temples.
Bharat Mata Temple: This unique temple is dedicated to Mother India and features a large relief map of the Indian subcontinent carved out of marble. It symbolizes the unity and diversity of India.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU): One of the largest residential universities in Asia, BHU has a sprawling campus with lush gardens and impressive architecture. The Bharat Kala Bhavan museum on campus houses a rich collection of artifacts, including sculptures, paintings, and textiles.
Ramnagar Fort: Situated on the eastern bank of the Ganges River, this fort was built in the 18th century by the Maharaja of Varanasi. It houses a museum showcasing vintage cars, royal artifacts, and a unique collection of manuscripts.
